Results to keep the wolf from the door

After last week's 13/1 winner with Cool mint Jessie perhaps Im getting too big for my shoes! Where once I would have been happy with a 10/1 shot finishing in second as predicted and another of my tips finishing in third now I'm gutted they didn't win! Seriously though well done to State Trooper from the Ken Allan yard for finishing second in the Getminted monthly Challenge qualifier at 10/1. Also Kenny Hill did just enough to earn a mention finishing third at 7/1 in the 8:48 race.

Apolo - 8:24 - 18/1

Well undoubtedly theres high quality in this field with horses such as Pescatorio and Nang Kwak lining up but this 5 year old colt from the Asturteam stable has nothing to fear. He himself continues to impress and all going well will put a poor result in Australia five days ago well behind him tonight. With Getminted for just over a year he's been out 131 times winning in 15, being placed in 40 and bringing £1,112 to the yard's coffers. Strong and verstaile he could go very close tonight if things go his way in Hong Kong.

Harrys Amy - 8:48 - 32/1

I wonder what stable owner daimilk makes of these odds. His charge won when last out on muddy in the USA back on the 29th of October but for tonight's race the bookies have turned their backs on him. In a field where a horse who has never run before is evens money favourite I think th bookies are unwise to write off this colt and if he can handle any fitness or weight concerns then theres no reason what so ever why he shouldnt be challenging coming up the last furlong. Each way contender.
