Hear no evil see no evil!

A champion jockey is about to enter an important race on a new horse. The horse's trainer meets him before the race and says, "All you have to remember with this horse is that every time you approach a jump, you have to shout, 'ALLLLEEE OOOP!' really loudly in the horse's ear. Providing you do that, you'll be fine."

The jockey thinks the trainer is mad but promises to shout the command. The race begins and they approach the first hurdle. The jockey ignores the trainer's ridiculous advice and the horse crashes straight through the center of the jump.

They carry on and approach the second hurdle. The jockey, somewhat embarrassed, whispers 'Aleeee ooop' in the horse's ear. The same thing happens--the horse crashes straight through the center of the jump.

At the third hurdle, the jockey thinks, "It's no good, I'll have to do it," and yells, "ALLLEEE OOOP!" really loudly. Sure enough, the horse sails over the jump with no problems. This continues for the rest of the race, but due to the earlier problems the horse only finishes third.

The trainer is fuming and asks the jockey what went wrong. The jockey replies, "Nothing is wrong with me - it's this horse. What is he - deaf or something?"

The trainer replies, "Deaf?? DEAF?? He's not deaf--he's BLIND!"

That might some up some of your nags trainers!!!!!!! Anyway for all tonight's top tips please click on read more.....

Running on nitro - 8:12 - 48/1

Now even after last nights run of poor results I cant help backing this 5 year old colt even at these long odds. Unlike many of the other horses in this Special Advance Allowance race Running on Nitro has had a recent win and in his 57 race career has shown on more than one occassion that writing him off can be a costly mistake. The grey colt transferred to the David S stable from the ultimate racing yard in early October and will obviously need some time to settle before reaching his full potential. Tonight in Canada I reckon he could well suprise the bookies and snatch a placed finish.

Pirate Attack - 8:48 - 18/1

Another risky tip here but the odds are simply too good to ignore. The reason this slowstables trained colt is at 18/1 is because when last out in a race of this level on fast going he finished 14th out of 14 in a night his owner will want to forget. Make no mistake about it though Pirate Attack is far better than that one result depicts. In 11 races the 2 year old has won in 3 and been placed in 5. If he can get a good start tonight then theres no reason why he cant do what he does best and run well. Putting that poor result behind him would also be welcomed.
