Gandalf 29 calls it as he sees it!

Thats right it's time for Gandalf 29's awards for last week! Also click on read more for all tonight's top Getminted racing tips.

Kenny Hill - 8:48 - 7/1

At times its difficult to judge the real quality of Kenny Hill. Often the 7 year old colt finds himself in small fields with not much to race for. At other times he's mixing it with the very best and faring well. Now a veteran on the Getminted racing circuit the 7 year old black colt has been out a total of 148 times in competitive races winning in 21 and being placed in 46. He's only been with the heinz stable since the end of last month having left the Dallas1 yard for £25. Well capable of winning on muddy he could finish in the places tonight if he gets a good jockey as he sits on the brink of the £2,000 in winnings mark.

Golden Eaglette - 8:57 - 13/2

The recent form of this 2 year old filly will undoubtedly have worried the Racing Clear stable. Had it not been for a second placed finish on the 31st of October in Australia then the chestnut coloured girl could have been on her way out of the yard with her virtual tail between her legs! However for all that this horse has huge quality bubbling away under the surface, some time soon its going to rise to the top and tonight in Canada may see her reach her full potential. I dont think she's going to register win number 4 but a placed finish is highly likely.

State Trooper - 9:24 - 10/1

One win in seventeen races isn't exactly the norm for a Ken Allan horse is it? After all the yard has had 96,972 wins (wild exaggeration!) since joining us! However State Trooper has shown signs of rejuventaion of late winning once and being placed in two of his last five races. In a field of average quality the 2 year old colt could well win tonight but I'd back him for a placing if I was you. Happy Punting folks!
