Punch drunk on a Vodka Splash!

I bet the vodka was flowing in the Dommo household last night (or perhaps some sangria!) as his 2 year old colt 'Vodka Splash' recorded a famous victory in the UK in the Getminted Monthly Challenge qualifier as predicted here on this blogsite. The win means the young colt has now earned over the £200 mark and all the signs are that he will become a star of the future. Coming from a yard with over 750 winners you can be sure this boy will be one to watch in the future.

Victathana - 8:48 - 11/1

Meet the schizophrenic 2 year old filly! Victathana from the Formerly DVDMAN yard has thrilled and disappointed with such regularity that you just don't know what to expect from her! In 29 competitive races the chestnut chick has been victorious in just 2 races and has been placed in 16. Last week Victathana was bought by the new yard from previous owners Midwest Racing corp for £13. Its the fourth yard shes been in to date. Tonight she will be racing over a much shorter distance than shes used to. Has Neal finally cracked the secret behind her inconsistency? We'll soon find out.

Nite Stalker - 8:57 - 28/1

On the face of it the stats for this boy are poor at best. With just 6 places in 27 races and no wins its hard to see the tipping attraction. However before you write off this horse totally consider this - two of his last three races have been on fast going - in full fields he finished second in both in allowance juvenile races- both times just half a length behind the respective winners. Tonight on fast in the same grade race Nite Stalker will be hoping to come out of the shadows and let people know what he's capable of. A win is possible but a place much more likely.

Chalvington - 9:12 - 16/1

Time to step up a class for Chalvington. After good success at Novice juenile level the 2 year old from the cotton racing stable finds herself up against it in a progress race down under tonight. However confidence is high after an excellent win a week ago in the UK on soft going. On soft again tonight the black bullet will be hoping to emulate last weeks run and take all the plaudits. In 5 races Chalvington has won once and been placed in 3. A good prospect she would do her chances of being a star no harm atall with a placing in this race.
