Fondmont still fighting for life
Popular chaser Fondmort remains in a critical condition after an injury he picked up on the gallops on Tuesday.
The 10-year-old, trained by Nicky Henderson, was injured when doing a final piece of work before Saturday's Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham.
Fondmort, who fractured a pelvis and suffered internal bleeding, is "holding his own," according to Henderson.
"His condition is the same as Tuesday - he's still critical. But the great thing is his will to fight and that is still as strong as ever."
Fondmort was taken to the the RVG Valley Equine Hospital in Lambourn, Berkshire, where he was given a blood transfusion and pain relief.

Spring Sprint - 8:48 - 18/1
He may not have won since the 6th of June but the metwo trained colt is back on better form. Placed in his last three races Spring Sprint was unlucky not to win in his last race on the 4th of the month when Speedy Snail outfought him to win in an allowance race in the USA by just over half a length. In 56 competitive races the 5 year old has won 5 times and been placed in 33 with career winnings of £263. If he can get the right jockey and start well over this 7 furlong distance then Spring Sprint could do just enough to nick a placed finish at decent odds.
Strictly Strict - 8:57 - 6/1
This horse certainly excites me but I'm no Catherine the Great! In 7 races the 2 year old filly from the Shreds stable has won twice and been placed in four. Her poorer results only came because of very low weights. Strictly strict started off her career with the Dommo but made her way to the new yard on the 24th of September for a mere tenner! With £44 in the bank shes already paying her way and could well add to that figure tonight with some success. Solid each way contender.
Handsome Ridge - 9:24 - 7/1
Its a sign of the quality of this 6 year old colt that almost £400 has passed hands in transfer fees since he joined Getminted racing on the 8th of April last year. Now enjoying life in the Muggins Racing stable in the twilight of his career Handsome Ridge has rediscovered the kind of form which made him such a star in seasons past. In his last five races he's won once and been placed in four. Overall stats read 147 competitive races, 22 wins and 60 placed finishes. If the old boy can make a bright start tonight in Hong Kong then theres no reason why this great run of his shouldn't continue.
