Cheltenham wants horses not donkeys!

Rank outsiders are to be prevented from running at four top Cheltenham Festival races including the Gold Cup.
Horses with an official British Horseracing Board (BHB) rating of less than 130 will no longer be allowed to take part in the events.

The move follows controversy over 500-1 chances lining up in the last two runnings of the Champion Hurdle.

Cheltenham managing director Edward Gillespie said it was important to protect the Festival's "integrity."

Blue Moon Zilla - 8:36 - 18/1

The form of this boy has been up and down like the underwear belonging to a lady of the night! Blue Moon Zilla from the bazilla stable hasn't had terrific glory on yielding going in the recent past but a second placed finish two days ago in Hong Kong reminded us of this 5 year old's undoubted ability. He's been with this yard since being originally bought on the 2nd of September 2005. In that time he's raced 118 times, winning in 14 and being placed in 40 bringing in £560 in total earnings. If he can get a good start in tonight's race then I think a placing is very possible at these long odds.

Deuce Bigalow - 9:12 - 11/1

This should be one of the more interesting races of the evening. This 2 year old colt from the Rose Hill stable has been busy in his first season. In 20 races Deuce Bigalow has entered the winning circle on 3 occassions and has been placed 7 times. Traditionally good hasn't be his favoured going explaining why the bookies aren't afraid to give him a reasonaby long price. As a stable Rose Hill have just hit 70 wins and they'll be hoping their boy can push them closer to the 100 winners mark tonight but I think a placing is the best hope.

Vodka Splash - 9:24 - 9/2

The big guns will be out for tonights Getminted qualifier many of them hoping to be the stars of the future. One of those hot prospects is the Dommo trained Vodka Splash who races for just the 11th time this evening. In 10 races the 2 year old colt has been victorious just once on the 11th of October in Hong Kong. Having been rested for most of October the black campaigner has returned in November full of intent and should be up amongst the leaders entering the last couple of furlongs. Solid each way chance.
