Glory night for petong and Ken Allan stables

If its drama you're looking for forget your Coronation streets and Eastenders you'll find the best of it here on Getminted Racing! In last night's sprint challenge finals in America with £1,160 up for grabs in both races 'Hung Up' from the Petong stable caused something of an upset by recording just her third win in 35 races to take the filly's sprint crown. Earlier in the evening in a dramatic and tense finish to the colt's race Ken Allan's 'Hong Kong Eagle' left it late to defeat ante-post favourite La Gazza Ladra. Congratulations to both owners on a job well done.

Smiler Miler - 8:36 - 24/1

Credit where credits due. Smiler Miler's fine win last Thursday restored owner Derek T's confidence in the 2 year old colt. It was just the second career win for him out of 12 competitive runs, he also has 4 placed finishes to his name and a financial haul of £42. Keeping in mind last week's win was in a full field of 14 in the United Kingdom then he may have the edge over other outsiders and nick a placed finish.

Mindless Journey - 9:12 - 9/1

Owners Christmas stables must believe the festive season has come early as their 2 year old filly has made it 3 wins in her last 3 races! Mindless Journey was bought by the yard just a week ago but already its proving to be £8.02 very very well spent! Having claimed their 200th win recently the Christmas stables are on a high and a decent result by their charge tonight will see them pass the £4,000 money mark.

Hopes Dashed - 9:48 - 42/1

One way or the other punters should make a few pounds on this race. Of all the contenders perhaps Hopes Dashed has the most impressive rack of statistics. In 9 races the 2 year old grey has won twice and been placed in six and has pulled in just over £30 for the Logan stable. In a race of this standard expect these average quality horses to slug it out down the straight. All going well and with the right jockey Hopes Dashed may well nick a placed finish!
