Top win by Sam's Bolton

I'm just after watching Liverpool fall again away from home, this time to the hands of Bolton Wanderers. Not for the first time against Bolton players such as Finnan and Risse had no answer to Bolton's 100% approach and Rafa Benitez could learn alot from his opposite number at the Reebok stadium. Three defeats in our seven league games so far, Premiership contenders? I don't think so!!!!

Distant memories - 8:48 - 17/2

In her four races to date this 2 year old fillie from the boyle1972 stable has won once and been placed twice with the only poor result coming in her last race in Australia on Thursday. Well suited to this distance she has only run on once before coming in third out of a field of 9 on the 17th of September. Will have stable companion 'No soft touch' racing along side her in this race and if she gets a good jockey I can see Distant memories nailing a placed finish.

Franklins Garden - 8:57 - 13/2

The slowstables will probably view the performance of 'Franklins Gardens' so far as average. The 2 year old colt has only been with the stable for a month having started his career with the Kenichi yard. While the Grey has yet to capture a win he's been well able to handle himself in big fields to date and many wise punters believe this could be the night that he breaks his duck and gets that elusive win. With four places from six races he's not doing too badly but a win could transform his career. Great each way potential.

H K Hurricane - 9:12 - 52/1

Obviously the bookies feel very confident that this wigs7 trained colt won't deliver this evening at these massive odds. However at 52/1 the 2 year old must be worth at least a small flutter given his recent record on firm going over this distance. Last wednesday H K Hurricane blitzed a full field to win in Australia in a novice race for juvenile colts. This race is undoubtedly a step up in class but maybe just maybe the youngster could get a place and set up a mighty weekend!

We're on a roll!

It's rare that I go on a purple patch so when I do I like to SHOUT it from the rooftops! Last night's best result came in the shape of 'Cool as a Cat' from the boyle1972 stable who finished second in his Progress race in Hong Kong at the generous odds of 10/1. Maintaining impressive form it means the 2 year old colt has now won once and been placed in three of his four races to date. In the 8:12 race also from Hong Kong 'Beat of the drum' kept the flag flying when he finished third at 17/2. Can I make it a hatrick of paydays?

Last night's tips come good!

There were virtual celebrations at the race track in the USA last night when two of our tips delivered at good odds. In the 8:12 Dec 27th finished just half a length behind Golden Dream in the 8:12 race at 17/2. In the next race Bout of doubt continued his good run of form by finishing in the places at 12/1.

If you had anything on either of these two fine horses - congratulations.

Beat of the drum - 8:12 - 17/2

As I'e said in the past odds of 17/2 always take my eye, why I dont know but stats wise I believe 17/2 shots always fare well. In this race in Hong Kong the 2 year old colt - Beat of the drum - will be hoping to add to the £27 shes already earned since being bought on the 14th of August. Now with the Liveoak stables the ranking of this race should suit him as he aims to pick up what would be just his second career win. A decent horse at this grade he should run well if he has the right jockey on board.

Kozmic Blue - 8:24 - 11/2

Fantastic odds here for a second favourite. The bookies believe Zadkiel will win this race at a canter so perhaps this sebonline horses best chance is to finish in second. Total stats read 47 races ,12 wins and 15 placed finishes. With career earnings of almost £900, the yard will be hoping this 3 year old colt passes the £1000 mark before long. With two wins and two placed finishes in his last four races hes on an excellent run of form and the four day rest hes just had will do him good -solid each way punt.

Cool as a cat - 9:24 - 10/1

One of the hottest prospects at this juvenile level for some time Cool as a cat has been sensational for the boyle1972 stable in his three races to date. He won in style in his first race on the 11th of September in England before recording a second and third placed finish in the two races since. Handled the firm going well in his last trip and all of his races so far have been in full fields. In a highly competitive race he'll be hoping to get the cream and must be fancied for a placing at the very least.

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading a post on the forums this morning from my old friend major chase added to by AML Racing and MA Norman I feel compelled to say a big warm hello to those and other owners who have been reading my articles over the last year. Yes I do steal your jokes but they're too good not to! The humour of some owners is legendary and you really make this game a great laugh and pleasure to be involved with. Also to Nolan, I hope all is well with you sir and that you're enjoying the great start to the season of your beloved Everton (enjoy it while it lasts, relegation beckons!) Seriously though thank you all for your support

Also well done to Versatile last night who won at 7/1 in the 8:24 race and to Visca el barca who at 9/1 finished in the places in the 8:12 race. Both tips came good for us!

Dec 27th - 8:12 - 7/2

In his current run this veteran looks very impressive. With a win and two placed finishes in his last three races the 7 year old chestnut coloured colt has been priced at an attractive 17/2 in this Level weight race. Its not suprising that his combined transfer fees over the last two years comes to £774. A lover of the fast going this shotgun mike trained colt could challenge tonight though he's had a busy September thus far. Must be considered for an each way punt.

Bout of doubt - 8:24 - 12/1

Am I falling into a trap? Why have the bookies priced a horse whos won all five of his races at 12/1. Im going to take a chance and say he'll finish in the places tonight. With a 100 % record the Dommo trained fillie has won £128 for the stable and looks a frighteningly good prospect and is at home on all types of going. Potentially tired after his fifth straight win yesterday he may struggle to keep the 100 % record going but a place is highly probable.

Hose me down - 8:57 - 18/1

A solid performer Hose me down usually runs on muddy going. However hes shown in his three races on soft that he can handle the going and I believe he has a chance of upseeting the bookies tonight at great odds of 18/1. Total stats read 20 runs, 3 wins and 13 placed finishes. Its that kind of consistency which has made him a force to be reckoned with at this grade and if he can get a good jockey another placing could be his.

Our best wishes are with the Masters Racing family

On hearing of the ill health of Phil (Masters Racing) I just want to pass on my sincere wishes that he returns to the game he loves soon. Phil is just two wins away from 100 and I know all owners would join me in saying we look forward to him achieving this goal. Get well soon Phil.

Visca el Barca - 8:12 - 9/1

In a consistent and impressive run of form of late this 4 year old colt from the El Zorro stable has now clocked up 11 wins and 32 placed finishes from a grand total of 70 runs. WIth prize money of almost £1,500 this boy has been a star of the stable and at 9/1 offers good value for this race in the USA tonight. He won on fast at this very track on the 12th of September and I wouldn't rule out a repeat performance though a placed finish is probably more likely.

Versatile - 8:24 - 7/1

In his one and only run on firm ground to date Versatile fared extremley well finishing in second under a length behind the eventual victor. That was five days ago but the experience will have made owners slowstables confident their boy can run well tonight. In his 8 races so far the 2 year old has won once and been placed in 4 bringing in prize money of £42.Bought from TR Racing at the end of August it may yet prove to be a very wise decision by Slowstables.

Goodison Parker - 9:12 - 18/1

This horse grew up on the blue side of Merseyside obviously. While he'll never be good enough to be a Liverpool FC inspired colt he's still a handy prospect!! Seriously Supergarn have a tasty horse on their hands here. They picked him up in a claimer last week for a bargain price. In his 4 competitive starts so far he's been placed in 3 while he won 1 of the 2 claimers he was entered into also, that being on firm going. A return to firm tonight so Goodison Parker may just get up to snatch a placed finish.

DVDMAN1 clinches his 400th win!

Sunday was a good day for Northern Irish men. Darren Clarke was on the European side that won the Ryder Cup while Neil (aka Dvdman1) was celebrating his 400th career win. In a novice race for Juvenille colts Midnight Storm made it win number 400 with a great performance down under. When you add Dvdman1's 1065 places to his stats it makes for impressive reading. Career earnings have now surpassed the £10,000 mark and you can be sure it wont be long before we are saluting Neil for his 500th win!

Blowing candles - 8:48 - 11/1

Either this 2 year old fillie is at the races or shes not. In her six races so far the marv1999 trained girl has won in three and finished well down the field in her other three. Bought from the Red halo race yard two weeks ago for £20 she undoubtedly has quality and I think she may fare well on the fast going in Canada. Solid each way potential.

I dream of china - 9:48 - 13/2

Well last night my tip from the shotgun mike stable - Ample Crown - delivered finishing second at 10/1 and I sense this 2 year old fillie won't let me down either. In one of the few large field this evening she has been placed twice in her four year career and is due a win though it probably won't come in the 9:48 from England. Used to the full fields shes shown that with the right jockey on board she can deliver and a place is there for the taking tonight.

Eclipse Knight - 9:55 - 15/1

Well if you believe the bookies then the top three places are going to be divided between Outrun, Statetrooper and Mean streets but as we see so many times the bookies are often well off the mark. I'm interested that Eclipse Knight running in his first race for the Dallas1 stable has been given odds of 15/1 with some much more experienced and succesful colts given longer prices. He's worth a small flutter at this price to do as so many of Dallas1's horses do - run well. Outside chance of a place.

Touble at Ascot - Joy at the K Club!

Trainer Aidan O'Brien and jockey Frankie Dettori clashed in the weighing room after the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on Saturday.
Jockey Seamus Heffernan was handed a 14-day ban after stewards ruled he caused deliberate interference to Dettori's mount Librettist.
Heffernan was riding Ivan Denisovich for O'Brien, who infuriated Dettori when he tried to discuss the subject.

Meanwhile in county Kildare Europe recorded a sensational and overwhelming victory to win the Ryder Cup for the third time on the trot. Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke was the star of the show showing great strength to win yet again just six weeks after his wife Heather passed away.

The Fear Factor - 8:12 - 36/1

Theres more natural talent in the San Marino national football team than there is in this field! However one possible shining light in another wise beamless cell is The Fear Factor from the Scaredem stable. The 2 year old colt comes into this race on the back of a win on yielding four days ago here in Australia. That victory in a full field of 14 was in a maiden juvenille race but if this newcomer can keep the good run going he could snatch a place at these long long odds!

Wedding Present - 8:48 - 17/2

I wonder if this virtual horse was actually bought as a wedding present?if so not a bad idea, already the 2 year old fillie has yielded almost £30 in winnings with the promise of much much more to come. In her six races to date the DryPool Racing stable recruit has won once (in her first ever race) and has been placed 3 times. A tad inconsistent she is due a good rae tonight and ould get a plaing if she runs well.

Ample Crown - 9:12 - 10/1

This 2 year old colt is still settling into his new surroundings at the shotgun mike stable after moving from the Crown stables two days ago. Ample Crown has already got a win under his belt but since that victory on the 10th of September his form has dipped. He needs a good run tonight for his new owners and I believe he has the ability to deliver at these good odds. Placed finish highly possible.

Common Europe!

Well at the time of writing Europe are fairing well in this year's Ryder Cup. Our three Irish boys have been impressive so far while Tiger Woods continues with the roar of a butterfly! Darren Clarke is playing excellently showing what an amazing character and golfer he is. Kozmic Blue - 8:24 - 10/1

In his last two races the 3 year old colt has got back on track with a good win and a second placed finish. Kozmic Blue has been prolific since being bought by the sebonline yard on the 6th of June this year winning £825 for the stable. The Chestnut coloured boy has had excellent success on good going in the past and if he runs anywhere near jos best in this big race he could well snatch a placing.

Montse Benitez - 9:24 - 10/1

Theres one thing good owners like more than others and thats consistency. This daveyd58 trained fillie has always given her best and has won 3 times and been placed in 8 of her 16 races so far. Its vital that Montse Benitez runs well tonight if she is to progress to the next level. Well used to this distance and track she could go close if she gets a good jockey.

Exodus - 9:36 - 5/1

When the Foxy911 stable bought this 3 year old fillie from the fen tiger stable in June they knew they had picked up a little belter. Exodus has been fantastic in his 35 competitive races to date especially in the past month. In his last five races he has won once and been placed in three showing he can mix consistency with excellence. The black coloured fillie hasn't raced since the 13th of this month so she should be back with a bang this evening after her long rest.

Try to keep the forums upbeat guys!!

As regularly as clockwork the forums transform into a message board of snipes and digs sometimes. While everyone has a right to view their concerns and views please try to keep the forums free of personal attacks and bad language guys. No one owner is particularly guilty of mis-using the forums but remember the over whelming majority of owners go on there to interact positively or to share or seek advice. Explosive Crown - 8:57 - 13/2

After reasserting his self confidence with good results in a couple of recent claimers this 3 year old colt is back in the kind of shape owners Crown stables Inc demand.Explosive Crown won well in his last race almost a week ago in England in a C division race for 3 year old colts. It was the third career win for him to add to the 10 places he's also achieved. A horse with enormous potential at this level he could well win tonight but a placed finish is more likley tonight.

Gangs - 9:24 - 13/1

Wild West racing really have an outstanding prospect on their hands here with this young fillie. The two year old has won 3 and been placed in the other 2 of her 5 races so far raking in £54 in winnings. Hoping to make it three wins on the bounce this evening punters may be a tad concerned that her fitness may be low. However in this kind of form 13/1 is a fantastic price and I expect her to challenege for top honours once again.

Secret Formula - 9:36 - 9/1

Two days ago in a large field of 13 this Dallas1 trained boy stormed to victory against a decent field in a Getminted Monthly Challenge Qualifier. Though the 2 year old hadn't really impressed up until then the nature of his victory in the USA made many wonder if this horse could be the next 'big thing' out of this hugely succesful stable. In his four races so far he's earned £112 and may add to that tonight in Canada. With agood price on his back he must be worth an each way punt unless Dallas is resting him for bigger things in the near future!

Yeats out of Melbourne Cup

Aidan O'Brien's Ascot Gold Cup winner Yeats has been ruled out of this year's Melbourne Cup, according to race organisers Racing Victoria Limited.
RVL were told on Monday, just after the five-year-old's surprise loss to Kastoria in the Irish Field St Leger.

"We are extremely disappointed given the horse's credentials and the worldwide interest his presence would have brought," said RVL's Leigh Jordan.

Hornament picks up first win on eve on great weekend of football!

Is Hornament's first victory a sign? Does it mean Liverpool can pick up their first Premiership win over Chelsea in recent years on Sunday? Im afraid its unlikely! Anyway well done to Hornament, a recent stable owner who joined us on the 23rd of August. The win came in an Allowance race in America yesterday when Sir Limpalot (great name) romped home in a small field of five.

Also best of luck to my county Kerry who play in the All-Ireland Gaelic football final on Sunday. Over 82,000 people will pack into Croke Park in Dublin for the game.

Ample Crown - 8:36 - 15/2

In a race low on quality this 2 year old colt from the Crown Stables Inc stable has a solid chance of challenging for the win or at least getting a placed finish. A winner in his very first race in Australia on firm he showed glimpses of his potential and may add to the 365 victories already in the bag for this fine stable.

Lethal Elbows - 8:57 - 24/1

Alot of recent wins between this field so it should be a cracker of a race. Lethal Elbows suffers from bouts of inconsistency but make no doubt about it at his best he can challenge for top honours. In his 13 races to date the atkins trained colt has won in 4 and has been placed in 6 and I think he may be good enough to extend one of those stats this evening.

Devil Tree - 9:12 - 7/1

The Stanley Brown stable have been grabbing the headlines recently and they already have 20 wins since joining us on the 16th of May this year. Devil Tree has been pivotal to the stables success and the third favourite in this race will take some stopping. With two wins and two placed finishes in her last five races the 3 year old fillie is in a good run of form and I think she will run well this evening. Solid each way chance.

New enhancements for Getminted owners!

A few new enhancements were introduced earlier this week, many of which were sparked by requests from members where improvements had been suggested. Most of these enhancements are in the form of added filters or icons to current pages. The details are as follows:

The ‘My Stable’ Page

- We have added a 4-7yr old horse filter to the ‘Age’ option.

- Some new icons under the ‘Status’ column include a greyed out A for when a horse is "In Auction", a greyed out N when a horse is "Nominated" and a Red triangle when a horse is "Pending".

- New Horse Filter options include some nifty options under ‘Status’ such as ‘No Alumites’, ‘Nominated’, ‘Not Nominated’ and ‘Pending in 24hrs’.

- On the left of the horse filter a "Total stabling fees paid this month:" item has been added which will indicate what your stable has paid so far for the current month. If your stable has reached its cap of $100 for the month, the "Pending in 24hrs" filter option will not appear in the filter under the ‘Status’ drop down list to filter on.

- Horses with a $0 stabling fee and horses who's stabling fee will become due before the end of the month after the $100 cap has been reached, will not have the ‘Pending in 24hrs’ yellow triangle displayed in the status column. They will also not be displayed when filtering on ‘Pending in 24hrs’.

Another ‘Basket’ Case

- Only ticked items are checked against your balance.

- You can add more than one nomination for the same horse on the same day in your basket. This is useful, for example, if you have nominated your horse for the 6am and 8am race and the 6am race does not run because of insufficient runners, the 8am race is then still in your basket for you to confirm. If the 6am race does run the 8am race will be removed at 7am when the race closes for nominations.

- If you have an error message and change your ticks and confirm your purchases and then press "back" on your internet browser you will get a "Warning, Page has Expired" message. We therefore included copy and recommend not using "Back" on the Basket pages but to use the "View Basket" or icon at the top of the page.

Nominating via the Categories Or Race Calendar Pages

- A new status filter has been added which now gives you the options to filter for ‘Active’, ‘Pending’ or ‘All’ horses in your stable that are eligible for the selected race or category.

Phew, did you get all that!

Heathrow - 8:12 - 28/1

Wow, massive odds here for a horse who was once bought by the Golden Glory racing stable for £255. Since his £76 move to current owners Asturteam in January of this year the 7 year old colt has mixed good runs with bad with alarming regularity. Still in the twilight of his succesful career Heathrow has earned over £2,600 and has impressed at all tracks and on all types of going. He was well beaten in his last race and is due a big run, hopefully tonight will be the night. Good each way option.

Miss behavin - 8:48 - 7/1

Last Sunday this 4 year old fillie finally got back to winning ways with a victory in Australia. While she had won previously at the end of August a run of poor results must have made the Guaybanex stable worry slightly. The stable itself is fast approaching it's 500th win and they'll be keeping fingers crossed that Miss behavin can follow the script tonight and run well in the USA. In 82 runs the black girl has won in 25 and been placed in 32. A win or place tonight would carry on the latest upturn in form.

Stripper - 9:36 - 9/2

I backed this girl recently and she didn't let me down and so I think the Dommo trained fillie will deliver again in this Allowance race for juvenille fillies. A lover of the muddy going the 2 year old has been very unlucky not to have picked up a win. On the 19th of August she finished second in the USA by just half a length and has peppered the winning line ever since. With 4 placings out of her 8 runs so far the best is yet to come from the stripper! How often have we heard that said!

'Don't use me' shows them how its done in England!

As correctly predicted 'Don't Use me' from the Black Smoke stable delivered the goods in England last night with a sensational victory in the 9:12 race.Pushed all the way to the line by Cheeky Champ the 2 year old registered his first win and looks set to be a star of the future.

For all tonight's top Getminted racing tips please click on read more.....

Crash Bandit - 8:12 - 13/1

This 4 year old has a habit of following up a great run with a patchy performance much like the team his owner supports, Liverpool! Racing in his 99th race this evening Crash Banit has been victorious in 16 and has been placed in 28 bringing in total earnings of £326. He had a horror in his last outing just over a week ago in Canada when he trailed in 10th. The long rest may have been just what was needed so this boy can refocus and concentrate on tonight's race. Nicely priced I think he might just nick a place if he gets a good jockey.

Taking the Pith - 9:24 - 22/1

A huge price here for a horse which has earned £116 from just five races. A winner in the USA when last out this 2 year old chestnut coloured colt defeated a full field of 14 to announce his introduction to the game. Trained by the Ken Allan stable the newcomer is hoping to add to the massive £175,362 raked in by the yard thus far. While he's never raced over firm before he should have enough talent in stock to spring a suprise tonight.

Bob the horse - 9:48 - 6/1
An attractive price here for a second favourite Bob the horse has had a glittering career with Getminted since joining us on the 4th of January this year. With 11 wins and 16 placed finishes from 51 competitive races the 5 year old black colt has won once and been placed three times in his last five outings. There is a realistic concern that he may struggle on fast going but he should be good enough to secure a placing.

Solid performances from tipsters tipples!

Not a bad night at the office really. Suggestive Nature from the Meat stable picked up yet another placed finish in the 8:12 race at tasty odds of 12/1 so if you followed my advice and went each way on that one then you're laughing.Later in the evening 14/1 shot Smile had a smirk on his face after he finished in third, a result which would deliver a solid return on a decent sized punt.

For all tonight's top tips please click on read more......

Tidley Wink - 8:24 - 11/1

Despite chipping in with a collection of good runs this 2 year old fillie from the Black Gate Stable has yet to really challenge for a victory. In her 9 races to date Tidley Wink has been placed in six races though many of these had small fields. Still in a field of such inexperience and low quality I expect her to pick up place number seven this evening in Canada. The owners are still unsure as to what distance best suits this horse but with another good run tonight that question may too be answered.

Don't Use me - 9:12 - 6/1

Make no doubt about it this horse is destined for great things. In his last race, the 2 year old black colt finished just three quarters of a length behind Arcadian Dream in America and while the stakes weren't too high it still would have been an important victory to snatch. The 1 mile 6 furlong distance is undoubtedly the best for Don't use me and I feel he could win this race tonight.

Captain Sparrow - 9:36 - 20/1

What a run of form this old timer is on. In his last three races the bot4rd trained 6 year old colt has won once and finished second in the other two. Total career stats are decent. In 105 competive runs the colt who in the past was with the Ruxton Racing and Top Dog racing stables has won 19 times and been placed in 38 earning £715 along the way. My only concern is that he's been very busy so far this month and with the legs aging he may feel the effects of 6 races in 10 days too much to take. If he can handle the fatigue I fancy him to nick a place at this huge price.

FOUR!

A guy stood over his tee shot for what seemed an eternity, looking up, looking down, measuring the distance, figuring the wind direction and speed. Driving his partner nuts.
Finally his exasperated partner says, "What the hell is taking so long? Hit the goddamn ball!"

The guy answers, "My wife is up there watching me from the clubhouse. I want to make this a perfect shot."

"Well, hell, man, you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of hitting her from here!"

Suggestive Nature - 8:12 - 12/1

This will be the 2 year old colt's first ever race on muddy going but if he shows the same turn of speed which he has on other types of going then he should go close to winning. In 8 starts the Meat trained black colt has won just once ( on the 5th of August in his maiden race) but has managed to pick up a number of placings since. It's crucial for his development that he runs well tonight and at 12/1 I'm going to back him for a placing at the very least.

Parking Voucher - 8:57 - 11/1

With two wins and a second placed finish in his last three runs Parking voucher has hit somewhat of a purple patch at this grade. In a race low on quality but high on importance the Shawstead Racing colt will fancy his chances of running better than the 11/1 odds suggest.Bought from the Double silk stable just three days ago this will be Parking Voucher's second start for this stable and the new owners will be hoping he can continue his good form. Fancy him for a placing.

Smile - 9:36 - 14/1

In just 12 races Smile from the lois stable has raked in earnings of £460. With 4 wins and 5 placed finishes from his 12 starts the 5 year old has impressed in almost every race he's ever run and will hope that his good run of form continues. While he prefers the fast going (a fact reflected in his price) he has the ability to shine tonight and as the name suggests put a smile on his owner's face. Good each way potential.

Sixties Icon takes the St. Leger

In the final classic of the season raging hot favourite 'Sixties Icon' stormed home to capture the St. Leger at York yesterday. Experienced rider Frankie Dettori left it late but the wise Italian seemed to just be toying with the rest of the field as 'Sixties Icon' went on the record a memorable victory.

Me and my big mouth!

Yes yes Everton suuporters, well done to you, you deserved the win but don't rest on your laurels as theres a long long way to go this season. Liverpool were awful at times today but should have had a penalty and we did hit the woodwork twice but to be fair the toffeemen deserved their 3 points, just waiting for Nolan and Boyle1972 to start taking the mick on the forums!

Derek T breaks his duck with first win

Dallas 1 watch out Derek T is hot on your tail! Seriously though congratulations to our latest stable owner on picking up his first win. Derek T joined Getminted racing on the 15th of August and saw Gilgadiamond romp home in first place in a small stable race today. Well done Derek may the winners start to mount up.

Love to hate - 8:12 - 15/1

This will be Love to hate's first run on good going but the 3 year old fillie has shown enough in her short career to suggest she'll be a success at this level. Trained by the boyle 1972 stable (massive everton supporter who may be in tears tomorrow after Liverpool win the merseyside derby!!!) she's won in two and been placed in three of her seven runs so far. The last win came on the 29th of July in Hong Kong when she won in a field of nine in Hong Kong. A good prospect she's been given a good price this evening, good each way chance.

Sweet Sour Game - 8:48 - 15/2

There seems to be a steady rise in this 3 year old colt's learning curve after a win and two second place finishes in the his last four races. Owners Stewart M picked up this colt in a claimer off the El Zorro stable and so far it seems to have been a shrewd piece of business. Especially impressive in his run on the 19th of August Sweet Sour Game defeated a full field of 14 in England to secure his first ever win. Should run well this evening if he has a good jockey on his back.

Careless Whisper - 9:24 - 11/1

You don't get to remain in the Dallas1 stable unless the man himself feels you have something to offer. Despite an inconsistent run of form Dallas has every confidence in this 3 year old fillie and when you look at her earnings thus far you can see why. She may have only won 4 of her 21 races but already shes raked in £623 for the stable. A winner in her last two runs over soft going punters would be well advised to consider her in this race at a tasty price. Could win, should place.

'Whatever Move on' and 'Stripper' fare well for Blogsite punters!

Two of our reasonably priced tips last night came good for us - 'Whatever move on' nicked a third placed finish at 12/1 in the 8:48 race from Dubai while 'stripper' was showing all in her race picking up another placing at the tasty odds of 10/1.

Astronaut - 8:12 - 10/1

In his last outing at the end of last month this Vgoh trained colt finished third out of three but you can't really read too much into that result. He's picked up two wins in his four outings to date most notably in a field of 10 in Austrailia on the 28th of August. Armed with a strong finishing kick he's been given a nice price by the bookies tonight and if he gets a good jockey he could suprise many. Has a great each way chance tonight.

Shine - 8:24 - 8/1

Experience is a vital attribute and Shine from the sebonline stable has ample stores of it. In his 32 races so far the 3 year old colt has earned £831, a wonderful achievement when you consider he's only been with getminted since the 14th of May this year. With 5 wins and 14 placed finishes from his races so far you do get the feeling that his best is yet to come and after a good win in his last race in Hong Kong three days ago confidence will be high. Could win tonight but it may be safer to back him each way.

Long Kite - 8:57 - 24/1

Am I missing something? Did this horse tragically lose a leg since his last race!!?? If not then he must be fancied to run well this evening at massive odds. In his 8 outings to date the muggins racing trained colt has won in 5 and been placed in the other three raking in earnings of £52. On closer inspection though we see that the 2 year old never races in big fields and some of the placed finishes are misleading as many were in fields as small of three. If he can handle the bigger field and the bigger occassion then I fancy him for a place at least. Time for the blinkers I think Lee!

A big welcome back to Mickeez

It's great to see that the Mickeez stable are back up and running. He had been out of action for a few weeks due to illness but with the batteries fully recharged the black and yellow silks will be back on the track hoping to add to the 465 wins already in the bank!

Whatever Move on - 8:48 - 12/1

Owners Chac's Champion Stal have been with getminted for only over a month but already they're making waves. In 'Whatever Move on' they've a handy 3 year old colt on their hands. In his 21 races to date the bay coloured horse has won twice and been placed in 12. Its this healthy place to run ratio (57%) which makes me think he should have a good chance of finishing in the places in this Progress race in Canada this evening.

Opus One - 9:12 - 20/1

This looks like being one of the best races in recent days as some of the heavyweights of virtual racing go head to head. Opus One from the Maximas stable certainly has a great chance to land something in this race if he gets a good jockey. The veteran is on an average run of form at the moment and is due some glory. In 121 runs he's managed to claim victory in 16 and has been placed in 51 races. A strong consistent performer I fancy him to finish in the places at these long odds.

Stripper - 9:36 - 10/1

I always keep an eye out for the stripper and tonight the 2 year old grey fillie has a chance to turn some heads in the 9:36 race from down under. While shes yet to register a win shes been impressive of late finishing in second place twice in her last three races. Has never been out over yoelding before but is from one of getminted's top stables (Dommo) so should be good enough to do well at these tasy odds. Possible each way finisher.

Quality posting by the M A Norman stable!

I came across this posting today and thought I had to flag it on the blogsite!

I went to the docs this morning at 9:10am. I was tired and moody as after the docs it was to straight to work until 6pm tonight, and the thought of going to work the rest of the week.
"You look tired Michael", says the doc.
"To be honest doc, im shattered, fed up of my long hours at work, no holidays to take, and im feeling stressed", I replied.
"Would you like a few weeks off to rest, I can give you a sick note until the 18th if you want"
YIPPEE, I danced out of the docs, took my sicknote to work, got all the sympathy in the world, and now im home in front of my PC doing all the things I love lol.
The only bug I have got is the Raceclubs/Getminted bug ha ha.

Classic! You deserve the rest mate, best of luck with the ggs!

Invasion - 8:12 - 44/1
A huge price here for this 2 year old from the tuff gong stable but in a field of such inexperience and low quality you'd have to consider Invasion to at least challenge for a placing. In his 8 races so far he's won in 3 and been placed in 3 though his last outing on the 30th of August in Canada was one to forget. Well rested and over his favoured distance I think he may just do enough to finish in the top three.

Eddie Kendricks - 9:12 - 18/1

With two consecutive wins under his belt this Catlikething trained colt may well suprise the bookies and make it three in a row in Hong Kong tonight. Our old friend Karl paid £56 for this 6 year old in April and so far the old boy has delivered. In 111 races he's won in 15 and been placed in 37 and isn't far away from total career earnings of £1,000. A solid each way punt.

Gorgonite - 9/2 - 9:24

In races with decent stakes such as this one owner credentials are almost as important as that of the individual horse! The Andy Hargie stable is one of the best in the business (2076 races/435 wins/775 places = career earnings £35,767.) This latest colt will give it his best and I'm going to stick my kneck out and back him for the win. It's a bit of pot luck in these races when some of the contenders have never been out before but Andys in good form and so are his horses.

Tears in Stuttgart and Prague

I write today from the sterile surroundings of zurich international airport on the way back from Irelands defeat in Stuttgart last night, a poxy defelction giving them an undeserved victory. While England and Scotland both recorded comfortable victories in their respective games there was also saddness for Wales, Ceri and I will drown our tears tonight and hope things improve in the Euro 2008 qualifiers

West Ham - Premiership Champions in waiting!?

Well well well! West Ham's double swoop for Argentinians Tevez and Mascherano is one of the most amazing pieces of transfer business completed in the Premiership's history. I wonder what London neighbours Chelski made of it all!!! If you're a hammers fan best of luck for the upcoming season. I was at the FA Cup final in Cardiff this year when the Hammers lost out on penos to my beloved Liverpool and I have to say I was really really impressed by their supporters. Good people with good football knowledge.

I'm off to Stuttgart to watch the Republic of Ireland v Germany game! Hopefully we wont get hammered!!!

Nice n Sleazy - 8:12 - 13/2

What a name! This 3 year old colt has impressed so far for the Kenichi stable. Kenichi are currently on 49 wins so if this grey boy can snatch a victory they'd hit the magical 50 wins mark. In 4 runs Nice n Sleazy has won once and finished second in two showing an excellent finishing kick. A consistent performer I fancy him to at least get a place tonight at 13/2 but a win is certainly not beyond him.

Velocity X - 8:36 - 32/1

In Velocity X's last three runs on fast going he won in two and finished second in the other. The bookies seem to think the 7 year old colt is past it but any Dallas1 trained colt has to be considered a threat to the rest of a field. Total stats for this old trooper stand at 125 competitive runs, 30 wins and 49 placed finishes. The 8 furlong distance should suit Velocity X down to the ground and if he gets a good jockey then he should be strong enough to get a place.

Best of the Bunch- 9:24 - 50/1

If this colt wins I won't be back from Stuttgart for a month! At a massive price of 50/1 owners Bandit Racing will probably have a small wager on the 2 year old to nick a place though his future at the yard looks uncertain. In 8 competitive outings Best of the bunch has won in 1 and been placed in 4 earning £40 for ths stable since being bought on the 25th of August from the Menace stable. It's vital for the horse himself that he impresses becuase if he doesn't he faces the bullet! A good horse when all going well he just might have enough incentive to nick a minor placing.
