Georgina's gem - 8:12 - 15/1

As this is a B division race you'd have to fancy this 4 year old colt's chances of running much better than the odds of 15/1 suggest. In 47 starts the Mr Gump trained colt has picked up 5 wins and 17 placed finishes struggling in the higher quality races but faring well in races of this grade. His last win came on firm going in Hong Kong in an A and B division race on the 17th of July. Well rested since his last race on the 27th of last month he should be raring to go in Australia tonight and offers great each way value.

Bora Bora - 8:24 - 38/1

Any chance Bora Bora has of causing an upset down under this evening depends on a good start. When running well the 5 year old fillie is unbeatable but all too often her mind seems miles away and she disappoints. In 113 starts the horse named after the infamous mountain range in Afganistan where Bin Laden is presumed to be living has won 17 times and been placed in 34. With earnings of £927 shes on the cusp of the £1,000 mark and owners Asturteam who are stuck on 249 wins will be hoping their girl delivers this evening though a place is more likely.

Jossy's Giant - 8:57 - 14/1

The old boy is settling in to the new sackman stable after being bought by them from the Clan stable just under two weeks ago. He may be approaching old age in virtual racing terms but at 14/1 he still represents real value in the 8:57 race from the USA. With a win and two second placed finishes in his last five races confidence must be high for the new sackman stable and a placed finish is well within Jossy's Giant's abilities. His last win on fast going came on the 9th of April at this same ground so a repeat performance would be well celebrated.
