Is there any stopping Captain Sparrow? ….and what about Arin Laud!

I’m tempted to buy Arin Laud when he gets too old for raceclubs and keeping him in the backyard so my future children can play with him! At 17/2 the Laud got another placed finish last night much to my delight. Another horse who may bring a smile to my face in the 8:57 tonight is Captain Sparrow from the Ruxton racing stable. A fantastic purchase this 3 year old colt has won all 4 of his races to date and is hoping to become one of few horses to make it five on the trot this evening. Granted the first race was in a claimer but since then he has impressed. Won on yielding on the 23rd of this month but that was in a small field and tonights race will test Captain Sparrow more than any previous. Also he raced yesterday and between fitness levels and winning handicap perhaps a placed finish is more likey this evening. At 9/2 he could help start your weekend off with a bang!

Mrs C to claim victory!!

Well if my previous tip Cigar is hot then Mrs. C is practically on fire and comes into the 8:36 race in scintilating form. Has never failed to make money for the stable ‘Lois’ and how this little belter must make them smile. In 11 runs, Mrs C has won on a whopping 7 occassions and been placed in the other 4. Versatile and well rested the horse hasn’t run since the 22nd so fitness levels should be as near to 100% as possible. WIth 4 wins in the last 5 races this 17/2 shot cant be ruled out for great things tonight. An each way punt a must!

Cigar to ride home in a plume of smoke!

This horse has entered a new faze in it’s career. Steadily improving Cigar has moved from being an average contender to a force to be feared. The career stats don’t look amazing with 5 wins and 11 places out of 21 runs but don’t be fooled Cigar is hot! Won on it’s last trip on yielding in England beating 6 fine horses in the process. Has fared well recently with heavier weights on the back and at 17/2 must be considered for a placed finish at the very least.
