The engagement of Diane Elizabeth Hall to Henry Walter Juan 3d, a son of Dr. and Mrs. Juan Jr. of Greenwich, Conn., has been announced by Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bennett Hall Jr. of Greenwich, the parents of the bride-to-be.

An Oct. 22 wedding is planned by Miss Hall, the women's buyer for Miltons, a chain of clothing stores in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and her fiance, a vice president in corporate finance at the Bankers Trust Company in New York.

The future bride graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich and Rollins College. She was presented in New York at the 51st Debutante Assembly and New Year's Ball. Her father is the president of Connecticut Magazine and Houston Metropolitan Magazine.
