Holteender sold for £1,925!

Well if you were in any doubt as to the worth of these virtual horses consider the news from the latest Auction. It was an all new experience for Raceclubs/Getminted with the sale of the 3yr old champion Colt “Holteender” being sold by trainer “Weaver83” and bought by delighted new owner “Andy Hargie Stables” for just over £1925,00. There were some surprising sales for some owners where their horses fetched unexpected prices, in some cases more than doubling their reserves.
Congratulations to all new owners and sellers on your recent Auction bids and successful sales! We just hope that 'Holteender' doesn't turn into a flop like Shaun Wright-Phillips and bottles it! However with Andy Hargie pulling the strings I doubt very much that this will happen!

Silver Flamingo - 8:36 - 11/2

This promises to be an exciting race with many of these horses in excellent form. This former Ken Allan and Golden Glory racing trained horse has the ability to win the 8:36 if things go her way. Now firmly in the Foxy911 stable the experienced 6 year old fillie is approaching the £2,000 mark in terms of prize money earned and enters this race on the back of a fine win in Canada last Saturday. She's also done well on muddy in recent weeks winning on this going just shy of two weeks ago also in Canada. With 25 wins and 54 places under her belt she's certainly one to keep an eye on this evening. Could win, should place.

Cardiff - 8:48 - 14/1

Okay so Cardiff has a special place in my heart with both Liverpool and Munster winning there in recent weeks but in horse terms I believe this 2 year old colt could run well in this race. To be honest it's a poor field even for an Allowance race and Cardiff seems the best of a bad lot. Out of the cotton racing stable the black pearl is looking for his first win having been placed in 5 races in his 13 race career thus far. On the back of two second place finishes he has more experience than many others in this race and I think represents a good each way flutter if he gets a decent rider on board.

Astrometeorology - 9:12 - 7/1

You never really know what you're going to get with this 4 year old fillie, when she's good she's unstopable but when she's bad, boy she's bad. In 85 runs she's clocked up 23 wins and 37 placed finishes but when she's out of the running she just gives up. After an indifferent spell in May she pulled out a fine performance last Thursday finishing second in Australia just a third of a length behind the eventual winner Fort St. Claire. While muddy isn't her favoured going she did win over it a number of weeks back and may create a mini-suprise in Dubai this evening. Each way potential.
