Three fine colts on a mission!
Well no Gabe last night, sorry ladies but we did have Andrew, a fine wine of a different vintage! No winners of the tricast challenge means it now stands at £100. Remember the races to watch out for are the 9:36, 9:48 and the 9:57. Also please don't forget to send in your pictures to getmintedracing@cellcast.TV, those who submit photos of themselves will be eligible for a prize from Getminted Racing so what are you waiting for?
Hail Caesar - 8:12 - 8/1
Slowly but surely this 2 year old colt is making a name for himself. While the statistics are far from impressive his performances of late have given cause for hope. In 14 runs so far, he's won in 3 and been placed in 7 suggesting a minor change in training could produce a far better contender. Last time out on muddy Hail Caesar finished 3rd on the 22nd of January in Canada in a field of 11. Tonight an each way punt may be a shrewd move.
Copernicus - 8:36 - 11/1
What a year 2006 has been for this dallas1 trained colt. The three year old who has been with the stable for just over a year plodded along without too much joy last year but since New Years day his career has exploded into success. In 46 runs Copernicus has now won in 11, 5 of them being in 2006 already. Add to the collection of wins 20 placed finishes and you see why this boy's owner is the King of Getminted Racing. The only worry relates to fitness he being out on the 25th, 28th and 30th of January. Still at these odds an each way punt could be a wise move.
Fort St Luke - 9:24 - 13/1
The Getminted Monthly League qualifier has as usual pitched some of the best horses on Getminted against each other once again. Fort St Luke from the Red Rope Race Yard especially takes my eye as he is looking for three straight wins on the bounce. So far he's won in 4 of his 8 races and has also been placed in 2. Though he has never raced on yielding before he will fancy this distance and should do much better than the bookie's odds suggest.
