Andaluscian gets a place at 54/1, and Pontevedra has the ability to cause a shock as well.
Thats the Christmas present fund sorted for many of you! Andalucsian at 54/1 finished second last night as predicted by yours truly, a great run from a dependable horse. Tonight in the 8:57 Pontevedra at 24/1 could make it two good nights in a row.
Not carrying a weight handicap from his last race, a win on muddy in Dubai he really has burst onto the scene as a contender to be feared. Granted he prefers one furlong less than he will face tonight but still this Winnie trained horse has a formiddable record on muddy. Each way punt recommended.
Whose brave enough to beat the Baltic Warrior?
November 9th, 2005
Consistent and reliable Baltic Warrior is a horse any stable would love to have on their books. Won on his last trip out despite carrying 132 lbs in weight and must be fancied to go close this evening in the 8:36 in Canada. A born sprinter he loves this distance and has shown good potential on soft and muddy going to date. He has 3 wins and 5 placed finishes from 15 races so far and at 25/1 must be worth an each way flutter.
Rice and Peas anyone?
November 9th, 2005
This horse’s name sums up my cooking ability! But will she be cooking tonight?!! At 36/1 she is certainly worth looking at in terms of a placed finish in the 8:12 in Canada. It’s not an experienced field but in saying that the quality is high. Rice and Peas has only raced once to date, that was a win over muddy going in Dubai. A longer distance will test this horse from the Perrywinkle stable but she may just be good enough to maintain that 100% record. I’m going to take the cautious approach though and back her for a place.
